PALM COVE - Location & Getting Here
Palm Cove, the Spa Capital of Australia, is an intimate and
inviting vacation destination situated only 25 minutes from
Cairns airport.
Within its 1.5km strip are award winning spas and
restaurants which attract both domestic and international
holiday makers. The beach is simply beautiful and worthy of
all the accolades it has received "Queensland's Cleanest
Beach", "Far North Queensland's Friendliest Beach", and even
"Australia's Cleanest Beach". Offshore islands of Haycock
and Double Island and the Palm Cove jetty at the northern
end make Palm Cove even more picturesque.
Swimming at Palm Cove is safe year round. Lifeguards are
present and during the warmer summer months of the wet
season when the stingers (dangerous box jellyfish) are
present, a large safe netted swimming enclosure is in place.
The local population of Palm Cove has a deep sense of
community and is justifiably proud of its beautiful beach
home. Each year in October, the celebration of Palm Cove
Fiesta encapsulates the flavours and lifestyle of the
beachside community.

LOCATION
Elysium Apartments are set one street back from the
Esplanade on the corner of Veivers Road and Oliva Street.
The beach, Esplanade and restaurants are no more than a 200 metre
stroll from your apartment.
Within the village of Palm Cove, stores and services include
a convenience store, a hairdresser, Post Office, rental car
hire, watersports hire (kayaks, catamarans and jetskis) and
bicycle hire.
A beachfront takeaway store caters for budget conscious
visitors or those simply wanting to sample the region's
sensational fish and chips! Picnic tables and free barbeques
dot the foreshore.
GETTING HERE
Elysium Apartments are located on the corner of Veivers Road
and Oliva Steet Palm Cove. Drive time from Cairns city is 25
minutes, from Cairns airport 20 minutes and from Port
Douglas 30 minutes.
If you are driving from Cairns, head north along the Captain
Cook Highway until you get to Palm Cove. Turn right into
Veivers Road. You will find Elysium Apartments on the corner
of Oliva Street.
